Manuscript on cream paper, 217ff. with 19ll. of tiny black naskh within gold clouds, gold roundels between verses, text outlined with gold, sura headings in gold on blue or red panels within gold spandrels, illuminated marginal medallions marking the juz, illuminated opening bifolium, preceded by another illuminated bifolium with du'a, marginal commentary in black shikasteh within gold panels, final folio with colophon signed by the scribe Muhammad Baqir al-Shirazi ibn 'Ali Asgar and dated 1249, good condition, original floral lacquer binding, floral lacquer doublures, repaired at spine, red morocco slip case
