RAIMONDI, Eugenio. Delle caccie ... libri quattro aggiuntovi'n questa nova impressione il quinto libro della Villa, Naples: Lazzaro Scorrigio, 1626. 4, engraved title and 21 full-page plates (title wormed with slight loss at bottom left hand corner, title and colophon leaf a little soiled, last quire with small wormholes affecting some letters), contemporary vellum (spine slightly wormed, rear hinge partly split). Provenance: A. Mercier (bookplate; Mercier Sale Catalogue, Paris, 1889, lot 604).
Second edition. The fine engravings on copper are in Schwerdt's view "larger and quite different" from the woodcuts in the first edition, and "certainly inspired by Stradanus's Venationes ferrarum but well-executed." Schwerdt II, 123; Petit 1764.
