Rare Schuco sand toys
velvet and felt characters with metal feet - a British policeman with wired arms and original card and metal factory disc '2012' --5½in. (14cm.) high, circa 1932 (one sleeve replaced), a clown and a jockey with original card and metal factory disc '2014', all three with stoppers in hats (one jockey's arm replaced and clown missing hat), and a policeman and ringmaster (bodies only)
Originally from the Schuco Archive auction in the 1970s.

These toys are designed to be played with in a sand pit, the stoppers are removed so you can fill them with sand.
