First line of title in blue ink; 9 letterpress facsimiles on vellum and 9 type-pages, borders and initials reproduced in collotype facsimile on paper. Original flexible vellum binding, gilt lettering, green fabric ties, top-edges gilt, the others uncut, original printed blue-grey dust-jacket. Provenance: Bromer Booksellers 2000 (description laid in).
The edition was limited to 350 copies on laid paper and 12 COPIES ON VELLUM. Following Robert Steele's general introduction are chapters on the Daniel, Kelmscott, Vale, Eragny, Ashendene, Essex House, Doves, Cuala, Merrymount, Florence and Riccardi Presses, as well as on the Cambridge Type and Robert Proctor's Greek Type.
