Robert Falcon Scott (1868-1912)
A brass simple-leaf shaped printing block with raised design of an anchor intertwined with RFS monogram [circa 1902-1912]. 10 x 8cm.
[With:] A varnished turned oak roundel with raised rim, lettered in gilt and black on rim 'Discovery', [circa 1901]. 13cm. diameter, the inner circle drilled for fixing.
Provenance: Robert Falcon Scott (1868-1912); by descent.
The second item is clearly some form of fitting from the Discovery: it appears to have spent some time mounted vertically, and given the amount of wear, was from the interior of the ship. (2)
