Manuscript entries in pencil or pen to 36 days, including various references to Kathleen Bruce, with further entries in the memoranda section, including 'Marriage Memoranda. [underlined]/Have lunch for H.G./Batchelor dinner [in pencil added later?]/Top hat, Frock Coat. Socks/Gloves, waistcoat, travelling suit.' Original diced brown calf, upper cover lettered 'R.F.S.' in gilt, spine with 'back-loop' for storage of inserted metal-topped pencil, g.e; together with a similar diary for 1910.

An evocative reminder of a significant year in Scott's private life. Kathleen Bruce and Scott first met in 1907. They would get married at the Chapel Royal, Hampton Court on 2 September 1908. The diary reflects these events ('dine K.B.' [entry for 2 January]; 'Get Marriage Licence' [entry for 28 August]). (2)
