Legendary English filmmaker, Sir Alexander Korda (1893 - 1956) presented this exquisite Rolex wristwatch to Jack Okey, who worked as Korda's Art Director on Lydia (1941) and Jungle Book (1942).
Korda, who is hailed by critics as one of the most pivotal and influential forces in British film history directed and/or produced over 100 films in his career, including That Hamilton Woman (1941), The Thief of Bagdad (1940), and The Private Life of Don Juan (1934). His film, The Private Life of Henry VIII earned him an Oscar nomination in 1933. Jack Okey served as Art Director and Production Designer for over 85 films, including It's a Wonderful Life (1946), Bengazi (1955) and The St. Louis Kid (1934).
