FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed by Runyon to his close friend, Doc Morris, on the front free endpaper: "To my very dear friend and companion-in-arms, Doc Morris, (one of the best,) from the author Damon Runyon with sincere regards, September, 1931." Basis fo rthe 1955 movie of the same name, starring Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando. VERY SCARCE INSCRIBED.
