The Saint is portrayed frontal, wearing the Episcopal stole, with his right hand raised in benediction and the Gospels in his other hand. He is flanked by the half-figures of Christ and his Mother, the former blessing the saint and the latter presenting him with the Bishop's omophorion. The saint's face is rendered with subtle colours and his red himation is highlighted with green shades. The background is decorated with foliate cloisonné enamel in blues and greens.
