7 parts in 3 volumes (319 x 235 mm). 352 lithographic plates, some double-page or folding, partially hand-colored. (Some foxing and staining, a few plates with tears, some plates shaved catching image or caption.) Parts 1-4 bound in 2 volumes in contemporary half calf and marbled boards (rebacked, old backstrip laid down), parts 5-7 bound in one volume, half leather and marbled boards, portions of original wrappers bound in (some rubbing and light staining). Provenance: Massachusetts Horticultural Society, Stickney Fund (bookplate; stamps).
