RARE. In the foreword Say's widow Lucy explains that the unillustrated work contains 'a complete list of such [shells] as were omitted in [Say's "American Conchology"]'.

(Plate 6 loosely inserted from another copy, plates browned and with occasional spotting, plates 51-60 with marginal tears, plate 60 creased, text in volume containing parts I-V browned and spotted.) One vol. containing parts I-V: 19th-century half morocco (worn, covers detached); parts VI-VII: original paper wrappers (backstrip split, small marginal tears with slight loss). Provenance: Geo, W.
