Secousse was a member of the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres and an editor of historical documents. He amassed a library of books on French history. At the auction, the majority of the library was purchased by Joseph Tauxier. Lonchamp and Olivier record that La Vallière also bought heavily at this sale. PRICED in a contemporary hand.
