Title in red and black, a few woodcut diagrams and illustrations, portrait by White added from another work (title a little dust-soiled and backed, margins at end a trifle browned). Contemporary sprinkled calf (rebacked, a few extremities rubbed). Provenance: contemporary name torn away from upper, blank, margin of title; G.W. Prothero (bookplate). Second edition. STC 22178.
