Lot Essay

The second part of this lot is possibly a study for Lloyd's Register of Shipping, 1908-1914, one of the eleven panels representing the Pool of London and the activities there, one of which was titled 'Rug Porters'.

Christie's are grateful to Libby Horner for her help in preparing this catalogue entry.
