STANLEY, Henry Morton (1841-1904). Autograph document signed ('Henry M. Stanley'), Uzunyi, [Congo], 26 March 1884, a direction that 'Capita Shasha of Banza Mbuba is to receive goods at Mampanga for carriage to Leopoldville if there are any - at the usual rate of pay', directed in another hand to 'Mr Edmunds Act Chief Mampanga Sud', one page, oblong 8vo (light wear to margins).
A document from the last stages of Stanley's great labours in the founding of the Congo State. He returned to Europe in the summer of 1884.
