NOURMAND, Tony & MARSH, Graham Science Fiction Poster Art, London: Aurum Press, 2003, p.138 (illus.)
Twins Tim and Greg Hildebrandt (b.1939) studied at the Meinzingers School of Art. Their unorthodox approach involves each twin starting at one end of the painting and meeting in the middle. This artwork, principally designed for use in the UK, was deemed unsuitable following the unexpected success of the film - it was thought a poster where the characters depicted could be recognised as the actors was now more appropriate, consequently very few of these initial posters were printed.
No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 15% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis.
