ONE OF TWO KNOWN TRIAL COPIES OF THE FIRST EDITION, INSCRIBED BY ROBERT GRAVES on the front flyleaf: "Louise with love from Robert (printer & publisher)." This copy is described by Stein's bibliographer, Robert Wilson: "At least one trial copy is known in full binding, but printed on wood pulp paper instead of the heavy rag paper used for the edition. This copy does not carry the limitation label." Graves and Laura Riding published the book as "Seizen Two." Wilson A13.
