SWIFT, Jonathan (1667-1745). Travels into several Remote Nations of the World, London: for Benj[amin] Motte, 1726. 8° (195 x 120mm). Engraved portrait frontispiece of Gulliver in volume one, 6 engraved plates, all but one maps. (Small stain in inner gutter of frontispiece and title, bottom of inner gutter of first 3 leaves in vol. II very lightly waterstained, light even browning, occasional light spotting.) Contemporary panelled calf (spines skilfully rebacked, corners bumped, a few light scuff marks). Provenance: A H Norris (inscription in pencil above first leaf of text in each vol., dated 22 July 1796) -- Frank Heyworth Talbot (bookplate).
