3 parts in one, large 8o (236 x 150 mm). Engraved portrait of Sir Mark by Grave after Rouw. (Small hole at inner margin of title-page and small repair at inner margin of title-page, neither affecting text, some occasional light spotting and offsetting.) Contemporary straight-grained morocco, richly gilt and blindtooled on covers and spine, gilt edges. Provenance: Joseph Neeld (bookplate).
LARGE AND FINE PAPER COPY, WITH ALL PRICES AND BUYERS' NAMES ON INTERLEAVED SHEETS in a contemporary hand. A famous bibliophile, Sir Mark possessed one of the finest private libaries in England. "It contained a wonderful array of the finest incunabula, the Gutenberg Bible, the 1459 Psalter, the 1462 Bible, the 1469 Livy on vellum, and other books of the same class" (De Ricci).
