The Booke of Common Prayer [The Psalter or Psalmes of Dauid]. London: C. Barker, 1581. 2 parts in one volume, 2° (269 x 186mm). Title of part 1 in red and black, both titles within a different woodcut border, fine and large (11 lines) woodcut initials (title of part 1 inlaid and a little soiled, repaired tears in lower margin of M3&4, a little browning and waterstaining). 19th-century old-style calf gilt by Larkins, gilt edges (rubbed). Provenance: Sidney Graves Hamilton (bookplate) -- Thomas Edward Watson (bookplate; by descent to the present owners). A rare edition of the Book of Common Prayer, STC locating only the copies at the British Library (both imperfect), the Representative Church Body, Dublin and Boston [Mass.] Public Library. This copy has 'F' of signature F1 in the Psalter under the final 'h' of 'hath'.
