The King and Queen of America
a pair of jointed bears the king with grown and 'Ermin' collar, the queen in conical purple hat and lace collar --9¾in. (25cm.) height of king; and two wooden thrones (2)
These Jubilee Bears were created for Kansas City 1990 Teddy Bear Jubilee by bear artist Monty Sours of Gladstone, Missouri, and her husband Joe. They were donated to the Museum by Bill Boyd, host of Kansas City Teddy Bear Jubilee and well-known figure in the teddy-bear world.
