The icon divided in two registers, the upper one showing a variation of the Mother of God of the Passion, with only one angel carrying the cross, flanked by St. John the Baptist and St. Athanasios the Great, the register below depicting the Prophet Elijah in the wilderness fed by two ravens, the bottom inscribed with the dedication: The supplication of the servant of God Elijah, his spouse and their children, and the date and signature of the iconographer: 1844, the hand of Ioannou P. M.
