Symeon the Righteous with veiled hands holding Christ in front of an altar, the latter displaying an open, inscribed Book, the Mother of God extending her hands to receive the baby, the Prophetess Anna standing behind her, at the left Joseph bearing a cage with two doves, all figures with prominent haloes, an architectural setting in the background and the Temple's crimson curtail at the right, the garments rendered with saturated tones, the background and heavens with pastel colours
