    A PATINATED AND PARTLY HAMMERED PEWTER AND LACQUERED WOOD FRENCH ELEPHANT JARDINIERE, LATE 19TH CENTURY

    This jardinière is an echo to the elephant fountain project of the place de la Bastille, of which the plaster model, raised by the sculptor Pierre-Charles Bridan, was destroyed in 1846
