A Cosway-style binding in contemporary dark green morocco gilt for Chas. J. Sawyer of London, upper cover with inset original oval portrait miniature of Queen Anne, the miniature surrounded by a single gilt fillet border, both covers with elaborate shaped outer borders decorated with various rococo-style tools, spine in six compartments with raised bands, lettered in the second and third the others with a repeat pattern in gilt, gilt turn-ins, marbled-paper endleaves.
