PRICED in a contemporary hand. Turner was "an extremely refined collector of the Beckford type, a great connoisseur of French, Italian, and Spanish books" (De Ricci). A portion of Turner's collection of rare French books was sold in Paris (12 March 1878). Blogie III, col. 46 (Part 1 only).
