'KING FREDERICK THE GREAT' GLASS TABLE-SERVICE
The following lots comprise a cut-glass and gilt service probably created in the early years of the 20th Century during the reign of Emperor Wilhelm II. While it is not known exactly why the service was commissioned, as it reproduces both the style and the monogram of King Frederick the Great it is thought possible that it was made to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the King's birthday, which would have been 24th January, 1912.
