INDENT2382 Private Tom Kirk, born Liverpool, an member of St Laurence's Boy's Brigade, was killed in action 16 May 1915 at the Battle of Festubert in a bayonet charge and fell ten yards from the British trenches. He was buried in the Guards Cemetery at Cuinchy. (Evening Express cutting 5.6.1915 refers)

Lieutenant Eric Kelso Buckley of Liverpool, born 1891, educated at Sedbergh (1905-08) served in France 1915-16 - wounded in 1916. His brother was killed in action whilst serving as a Captain with the Liverpool Rifles 5 August, 1916
1324 Private John George Gilbert from Liverpool was wounded during an attack on the 14 May 1915 and died the following day.
