Painted with an insect in flight above flowering shrubs issuing from blue and turquoise rockwork within a border of four trailing flower-sprays divided by four insects, within a shaped brown-line rim ( the smaller with rubbing to brown rim and slight wear to glaze)
12½ in. (31.8 cm.) and 12¼ in. (31.1 cm.) wide (2)
Almost certainly purchased by Thomas, 2nd Marquess of Bath (1765-1837), Longleat, Wiltshire and by descent at Longleat.
