Two Kuthaya square tiles
19th century
painted in coloured enamels with entwined scrolling floral and foliate designs -- 8in. (20.2cms) wide, (joined together, glaze chips); four Kuthaya tile sections forming a circular panel, decorated with scrolling chrysanthemum sprays within a foliate band border -- 15in. (38cms) diam; and a small hexagonal tile, painted in blue, aubergine and white glazes with flower sprays and foliage -- 5½in. (14cms) wide, (chips to edges).
