    TWO NORTHWEST COAST BASKETS
    The first Tlingit, of cylindrical form, woven in twined split spruce root with false embroidery of maiden hair fern and split stem grass in two bands with interlocking meander patterns; the second Westcoast or Makah, of cylindrical form, with a single band around the base parallel to the band along the edge of lid, circular motif on the top of lid
    The first: 2¾in. (7cm.); the second 2¼in. (5.7cm.) high (2)
