TWO PAIRS OF GOLD HOOP EARRINGS
CIRCA 4TH-6TH CENTURY A.D.
First pair with tapering wire hoops terminating in two collars of gold spheres and a long pendant with double row each of seven gold spheres with granulated pyramid pendant below, 1 in. (2.5 cm.) high; another pair of openwork leech-shaped earrings, the pendant composed of four curved gold wires each decorated with granulated berries, with terminals spirally wound with gold wire and a tapering wire loop, ¾ in. (1.9 cm.) high; and a later pair of pendant gold earrings, each with a pendant with beaded wire border and central gold wire trefoil with four granules, 1 7/8 in. (4.8 cm.) high (6)
