    TWO RETRO GOLD CASES
    The first, designed as an engine-turned 18k gold case of oval outline, (the front monogrammed 'EFH', the reverse engraved 'To Doris with devoted affection from Ed'), with English hallmarks, 2¾ x 2 ins.; the second, designed as a polished 18k gold cigarette case of rectangular outline, depicting Place de la Concorde, accented by single-cut diamonds, with a square-cut ruby pushpiece, (the front engraved 'Place De La Concorde', the inside engraved 'A very merry Christmas with lots and lots of love always, Joanie, Ed & Dorothy, Christmas 1946 - Hutfield'), circa 1945, 3½ x 3 x ½ ins.
