The Madonna and Child with Saint Gaetano of Thiene

Related to a picture by Ubaldo Gandolfi of the same subject formerly in the Dagnini Palmieri Collection (P. Bagni, I Gandolfi, Padua, 1992, no. 164). The composition of the drawing and the painting only differ in the direction of the Christ Child. A red chalk compositional drawing dated 1775 and another drawing of the head of the Saint, both in private collections, are also connected to the picture (P. Bagni, op. cit., nos. 165-6). Francesco Rosaspina engraved the picture.
