According to the Archives of Vacheron Constantin, the present watch was manufactured in 1958. It is a very fine and rare example of the celebrated "Cioccolatone" model by Vacheron Constantin, combining a sought after pink gold case and full calendar with an excellent overall condition.
The model was originally introduced into the market in the 1950s and was made in several versions, the majority in yellow gold with either mechanical or automatic movements and fitted with simple dials or calendar and phases of the moon.
The present watch, featuring the full calendar with moonphases and cased in pink gold in conjunction with the two-tone dial can probably be considered one of the most desirable vintage wristwatches by Vacheron Constantin offered at auction in years.
