Stimmer on verso of title, 245 woodcut illustrations, historiated initials, errata at end, laudatory poem in Greek by C. Utenhoven on verso. (Title starting to detach, *2 with long but clean laminated repair, D4 with clean tear affecting 5 lines of text, light, mainly marginal, spotting.) Contemporary lavishly blind-stamped calf over wooden boards, the covers with rectangular panels of foliate and floral motifs and small circular armorials, 4 raised bands, manuscript title on spine, clasps (clasps repaired, spine and front joints chipped, rear cover with old repair, quite rubbed and scuffed). Provenance: "Sancti verbami bibliothecae" (manuscript inscription on title).
