A collection of approx. sixty ambrotypes and tintypes, ninth-plate to quarter-plate, variously mounted and most with gilt slips, a few hand- tinted and with gilt pin-prick jewellery decoration, some in folding leather cases, some framed, one paper-taped and one in inlaid book-form papier-mâché case(a lot)

Indoor and outdoor portraits of individuals and groups, many taken at the beach. Also including photographs of gentlemen with a carriage, a street scene, a rhododendron bush and a couple in a rowing boat.
