Lot Essay

Several similar cloisonné enamel meiping vases have been published. See H. Brinker and A. Lutz, Chinesisches Cloisonné - Die Sammlung Pierre Uldry, Museum Rietberg, Zurich 1985, pls.122 and 123, both dated to the second half of the 16th century.
