    Samy Kinge has confirmed the authenticity of this painting.

    The present painting is a rare example of Brauner's early work, executed while the artist was studying at the School of Fine Arts in Bucharest. He was given his first exhibition at the Galerie Mozart in Bucharest in 1924.
