Tinted lithographed frontispiece, 8 wood-engraved plates, one map and one folding letterpress table (title and frontispiece stamped and spotted, mainly marginal thumb-soiling or spotting in text, occasional stains). Contemporary half morocco (very rubbed, remenants of adhesive tape at bottom of covers), top edges gilt. Provenance: Repton School (bookplate). Borba de Moraes p.933.
