Half-title, title in red and black. 2 photogravure portraits, one carefully hand-coloured at a later date, illustrations, many full-page, all after Edmund New, EXTRA-ILLUSTRATED with 12 engraved views or portraits, 2 of the portraits with later hand-colouring. (Some browning to extra-illustrations.) A Cosway-style binding in 20th-century green morocco gilt by Bayntun Riviere, upper cover with inset hand-coloured oval portrait miniature of Walton after Jacob Huysmans, the miniature surrounded with single-fillet gilt-border, the surrounding panel with outer triple fillet border enclosing a gilt tooled overall view of a river with lilies, bulrushes, fish and flies, all within an outer border of stylised foliage and quadruple fillets, lower cover panelled using fillets, spine in six compartments with raised bands, lettered in the second and third, the others with various large fishing-motif tools each within a similar tooled and fillet border, gilt turn-ins, marbled-paper endleaves, gilt edges.
