Wang Wu (zi Qinzhong, hao Wang'an and Xuedian Daoren), from Wu county, Jiangsu Province, was known for his bird and flower painting and landscape painting. He was a pupil at the Imperial College (Tai Xue), but did not desire to pass the provincial civil service examination.
Dan Chongguang came from Jurong in Jiangsu Province. His zi were Zaixin and Taixin, his hao Jiangshang waishi; he also used the names Yugangsaoye daoren, Yiguang, and Yisou. In 1652 he attained the rank of jinshi.
