(Very small stain on verso of dedication leaf and on contents leaf). Original dark blue cloth, spine lettered in gilt, dust-jacket. (Very small nick to edge of upper cloth cover and some very small scratch marks, upper wrapper of dust-jacket a little faded at edges of red panel, very light staining to edges of lower wrapper).
FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY, the front free endpaper inscribed, "For Pamela Onslow, with affectionate regards from Evelyn, October 1961."
