Contemporary blindstamped pigskin over wooden boards, brass clasps. Provenance: M. Jois Erhardt Vic Capell (inscription on title); Theodor Karajan (19th-century bookplate); "Bei Khler Antiquar in Leipzig gekauft am 12. Mrz 1876" (inscription on front free endpaper).
First edition in German. Weyer was not pleased with Fglin's unauthorized translation, which he found to be full of errors. He issued his own German translation the following year. Binz p. 67; Norman 2217.
