Black letter, title within woodcut border (same leaf rather soiled, small wormhole in the text in the first 3 leaves, blank fore-corner of last leaf torn away and crudely repaired, some browning and discolouration). 17th-century calf (slightly worn, head and foot of spine defective). Provenance: Will Waterson (18th-century signature on title).
Second edition, printed in the same year as the first, of the future Archbishop of Canterbury's reply to Thomas Cartwright's defence against Whitgift's An Answere to a Certen Libel, 1572. STC 25430.
