Large 8° (251 x 165mm). Half tone oval portrait on general title (title and first few leaves almost detached). Original khaki cloth, spine lettered in gilt (some staining and scuffing). Provenance: "J.M. 9 Randolph Crescent, Edinburgh" (old pencil inscription on front free endpaper). NUMBER 543 OF 600 COPIES, SIGNED BY WALT WHITMAN ON TITLE PAGE TO "LEAVES OF GRASS."
