12o. Engraved frontispiece portrait, leaf of ads at end. (Some spotting.) Original green cloth, lettered in gilt and blind, with Emerson's famous greeting in gilt at bottom of spine (spine repaired, section lacking at center, rubbed and worn).
Second Edition, with 20 additional poems not in the 1855 edition, one of 1000 copies printed. BAL 21396; Myerson A2.2; Wells & Goldsmith, pp. 5-6: "the book is quite a rarity and is seldom found in good condition."
