This exquisite white jade brush rest depicting a vivid scene figuring farmers and horses crossing a arched bridge overlooking four boats of a floating market is one of the finest examples which fully embodies the delicacy and creativity of craftsmanship under the Empereur Qianlong's reign. This rare white jade 'bridge' brush rest seems to be the only exemple with its original spinach green jade base decorated with rocks and waves.
