A lacquered, faux tortoise shell, mother-of-pearl and gilt inlaid snuff box
Apparently unmarked, possibly France, circa 1760
Of oblong form, decorated in chinoiserie style the sides and reverse inlaid with mother-of-pearl and gilt symbols of war and a text above, the cover inlaid with a tapering-shaped column flanked by various flags at each side and symbols of war in the foreground, a foliate band below and a name above: Marcello Austriaco
