A French ormolu-mounted mahogany bureau a cylindre In the Transitional Style, Circa 1890 The rectangular upper section inset with a red cipollino marble top, with three-quarter gallery, above three drawers with foliate-cast handles, above the rolled top, centred by a marquetry panel of a Royal coat-of-arms and flanked on each side by a further marquetry panel of a crown surmounting scrolling foliage, the interior fitted with three compartments above three drawers and a pull-out green leather-lined writing slide, above three apron drawers, the shaped sides centred by an Apollo mask, on cabriole legs headed by a female bust with scrolled foliate-cast terminal, on acanthus-cast paw feet 51 in. (131.5 cm.) wide; 50 in. (127.6 cm.) high; 26 in. (67.2 cm.) deep
